85 HORSES RIDE FOR PAUL'S Son-Rise Prorgramme for AUTISM
The South Devon Hunt, Spooners & West Dartmoor, Mid-Devon, Lamerton, Dartmoor, East Cornwall, East Devon hunts were ALL represented. The East Dart Hotel Postbridge to The DARTMOOOR INN Merrivale and back! Local MP Geoffrey Cox was present and gave medals to all who took part. As an ex Mounted Policeman, Hunt Servant and then Nagsman it was wonderful see my old hunting friends help my son.
Paul, 5 years was diagnosed with severe Autistic Spectrum Disorder in 2004.
We began THE SON-RISE PROGRAM OF AMERICA in May 2005 at which time Paul couldn't talk or look at you. Now, two years on, he has an uncountable vocabulary! Although a very challenging child our family life has improved. Paul's progress was logged by BBC1's Spotlight 2 weeks ago - this clip is now on the main site in America - www.son-rise.org WHAT'S NEW. By bringing attention to this therapy by my hunting pals we could change people's lives and along the way we have proved that hunting folk aren't so bad after all!

POSTBRIDGE TO MERRIVALE & BACK!
7 hunts were represented and 85 horses took part travelling 20 miles over some really wild moor.
Total raised £1,300 for Paul's Son-rise program for autism.
It was great to have a few pairs of hands to assist while the riders had a rest and refreshments.
