We only had a few
inquiries from newcomers for this weekday meet, but in
the event we were pleasantly suprised by a field of over
50, about three quarters of whom were newcomers or very
occasional visitors (you can tell the regulars by their
eccentric dress, Nigel). They had a super day on Hankley
Common (which is more than can be said for the poor b-
foot followers who were reduced to relying on telepathy
and guesswork as usual - sulk) and afterwards many asked
to come out again. Apologies for the quality of the
photos - this is due to the miserable, persistent drizzle
which at least caused a marked improvement to the
scenting conditions on this dry, sandy
soil.
